Find out if Laser Genital Lightening is Right for You

What is Laser Intimate Genital Lightening (Bleaching)?

Laser Genital Lightening is a procedure that aims to reverse skin darkening around Intimate areas. Over a quarter million men and women per year perform Intimate Skin bleaching. Intimate Skin pigmentation is often due to: shaving, friction from fabric, childbirth, hormone related, or simply due to aging.

Are You a Candidate for Laser Genital Skin Lightening?

To get the best possible results, we will need to schedule a consultation. You may be a good candidate if:

  • You fit into an ethnic group, who tends to have darker skin.
  • You are not satisfied with your physical appearance.
  • You are losing confidence due to irregularities in your skin.
  • You suffer from stretching and scarring after childbirth, hormonal discoloration, and the signs of aging.

What causes Intimate Skin Darkening?

There are many causes ranging from lifestyle to health. Discoloration of intimate areas can be caused by aging, hormonal changes from pregnancy, infections and medical conditions such as Contact Dermatitis or STDs, and only a properly trained certified professional can help you determine the best course of action or if Laser Genital Lightening is right for you.

Hyperpigmentation (darkening) and Hypopigmentation (lightening)

CO2RE Intima Laser treatments may potentially change the natural color of your skin. Skin redness usually lasts 2 weeks to 3 months and occasionally 6 months following laser skin treatment. Darkening and lightening of the skin in the treated areas can occasionally occur. Mostly it is transient, lasting up to six months, but in rare cases it can be permanent. Occasionally these pigmentary changes occur despite appropriate protection from the sun. A line of demarcation between normal skin and skin treated with lasers can occur.

Common Areas that are Treated with Laser Genital Lightening?

Common areas are:

  • Vaginal
  • Anal (perianal)
  • Buttocks
  • Inner Thighs
  • Bikini Line
  • Underarms
  • Posterior neck
  • Knees
  • Elbows
  • Under Breasts
  • How Many treatments will I Need?

Everyone’s skin is a bit different so there is no hard and fast rule for how long it will take to lighten your skin. An average of 3-4 sessions is what we recommend to get noticeable changes. Again, as everyone is different and reacts differently to the same treatment, the need for more sessions is possible.

How to Prevent Future Skin Discoloration

There are a few things that you can do to prevent the skin from further discoloration; however, they are not guaranteed. Avoiding coffee, dark sodas, and artificial colors in food can help with the discoloration of the peri-anal area, for example. Discontinued use of deodorants that contain alcohol also helps with pigmentation in the underarm area.
