Liposuction, BodyTite & FaceTite

What Is Liposuction?

Liposuction (also commonly known as “lipo”) is a procedure where fatty tissue is removed from the body via suction. It is used to remove stubborn areas of fat build up that have been resistant to diet and exercise regimens. It is NOT used as a replacement for proper diet and exercise, nor is it a treatment for obesity. Liposuction is also not a treatment to rid locations of the body of cellulite. It's primary purpose is for body shaping and contouring. The best candidates are women and men above the age of 18, within 10 to 20 pounds of their target weight.

What Is BodyTite & FaceTite?

“BodyTite™ and FaceTite™ are FDA approved, minimally-invasive treatments that contour the face and body with the power of Radio-Frequency Assisted Liposuction (RFAL). BodyTite™ and FaceTite™ destroy fat cells, but can also treat skin laxity. These incredible treatments paired with liposuction can tighten the skin 35% more effectively than a traditional liposuction procedure.

Where Can I Have Liposuction?

For the most part that is an easy question. If there is extra fatty tissue anywhere you don’t want it, we can get rid of it for you. With that said; there are some locations, such as near the eyes, that we will not consider. But in general, there are no restrictions on where the procedure can be performed. Below are some of the most common locations:

  • Stomach
  • Thighs
  • Arms
  • Back
  • Chest
  • Legs
  • Shoulders
  • Chin

Is There A Recovery Time Associated With Liposuction?

Most body procedures are followed by swelling and bruising and this is considered normal. After the procedure your doctor may also suggest a compression garment or other type of elastic-bandage to help control swelling of the treated location. Recovery time varies: from person to person, based on treatment location. Your physician will be able to give you a more targeted timeline for dissipation of swelling & full recovery.

Your first visit will be a consultation to discuss your options, and develop a plan that will work for you. Even better... the cost of your consultation is free! Afterward we will schedule your first treatment within two weeks.

Is It Permanent?

Once fat is removed from the body it will not come back on it’s own. Liposuction does not however prevent you from gaining weight back due to lack of exercise and poor diet, so a healthy lifestyle is encouraged.

Recovery Time

Recovery time is usually 4-6 weeks. You will be unable to: go swimming, hot-tubbing, do intense workouts, and similar activities, for at least two weeks. You will be REQUIRED to wear a compression garment for two weeks, then 12 hours a day for two more weeks after that. Read More...
