let’s debunk some of this fine print from other companies
Pre-Treatment
“Before your first treatment, it’s important to avoid sun exposure. Your skin needs to be its natural skin tone in order to be safely treated, so no tanning or sunless tanner throughout your treatment.” – FALSE
Why?
The laser does all 6 six types. So as long as I am doing my job and paying attention to your skin tone you can be in the sun. Just give me 24 hours before and after treatment is all I ask.
“We’ll need you to shave the day of or the day before your first treatment, but waxing and plucking should be avoided. Come in for treatments with clean skin— no makeup, lotion, or perfume.” – TRUE
Treatment
“A temporary grid will be drawn on the treatment area to ensure accuracy & coverage.” – FALSE
Why?
This is how they divide your body into areas. Each area costs you more. Second, this is how the company trains you when you start. Professionals do not need grid lines and second if you hit the white line it reflects the laser. Again, my job is to pay attention.
“Safety goggles will be provided.” – TRUE
“Your provider will adjust the laser to the exact specifications.” – TRUE/FALSE
Why?
As long as they put in the correct hair type, thickness and (755/1064)Plus skin tone the laser does the rest. It will tell them the spot size and it will tell them where it is safe to start however you want to increase as you go. Should wake you up but not put you in tears!
“Our laser uses a cooling technology to provide the most comfortable treatments possible. There are 3 settings so if you don’t feel it ask them to turn up and show you.” – TRUE
Post-Treatment
“Post-treatment instructions are provided.” – TRUE
Stay out of the sun 24 hours. You have no open wounds so you are good to go. They will give you a list but use common sense when reading them.
New hair growth is possible due to hormones, age, and genetics, but with us, your results are guaranteed for life! So, simply make an appointment, come on in, and we’ll take care of that new hair at no additional cost.

Why?
Really read the fine print on the contract that is what they will hold you too. Do not believe the person telling you we will work with you. How long will she be working there? A contract is a contract so read it. Do not sign anything on the first visit. Just remember anything over 50% is a scam. No company makes money giving services away.
I am not here to say we are the best. I am tired of clients walking in our office after going to the high price companies with the same laser and being scammed. They have contracts for a reason. They do not give you all the information up front for a reason. They do not have special lasers, with special settings (I have heard it all). The prices are high because the national companies or located in high end areas and clients want brand names or because it is in Clayton, Ballwin or Chesterfield they should pay more. Is the name/location that important to you? Or is the service what you are looking for?
There is one thing I can say they will Never be able to say to you ever…I have a triple board physician on site at all times. Why because he owns the business!
